The car storage areas run 24 hours a day and are completely automated, run by Wilson Parking. Upon entrance, you insert your credit card into the machine or push the button to dispense a ticket. Upon departure, you will make your payment. Those entering their card will simply insert it a second time and receive a receipt. Those taking tickets will then pay in cash at an automated pay station.

The cost for long-term car storage works on a daily basis. One day of parking is $16. Two days is $30. Three days charges a fee of $44, four days $58, ranging all the way up to one week for $100. Vehicles being stored at the Cairns Airport need to be no larger than 4.9m long x 1.9m wide x 4.0m high. The airport does not accommodate vehicles that have trailers or caravans or those exceeding height or width. Those that do exceed these limits may be issued a fine.
